This is probably one of the coldest summer’s for the rest of your live.
Picture our planet as a canvas of life, evolving through time. Lately, though, this canvas has been showing signs of distress—changing, for better or worse. It’s a fact we can’t ignore. Amidst these shifts, most life on Earth, including our own, faces unprecedented challenges. Indeed, no cause, be it education, child nutrition, or equality, can thrive if the canvas itself is tainted.
The brushstrokes of this change? Largely our own. The plastic islands in our oceans, the CO2 altering our atmosphere, the acidifying seas, the disrupted air and water currents—these are not the whims of nature, but the marks of human actions.
As educated and innovative individuals, with a palette of global resources, we must step up. Our responsibility? To confront and minimize the dramatic outcomes of this planetary shift.
But, how do we save this canvas of life? Not merely through individual sacrifices or sustainable living. The true transformation requires innovative strokes—ones that enhance productivity and wealth while simultaneously reducing our environmental impact.
Consider the story of a small village in Africa, where solar-powered microgrids have brought light and energy, changing lives without straining the planet. Or the tale of a city that turned its rooftops into gardens, creating a green haven in an urban jungle. These are examples of the innovative solutions we need.
This is why we’ve established ‘Green Innovators’. Inspired by successful innovators, our blog is a mosaic of stories, ideas and visions. We spotlight projects and innovators, who are painting a brighter future for our planet. We’re crafting a network of green heroes, gathering their knowledge, and learning from their challenges and triumphs.
Our mission is clear: To inspire, to innovate, and to commit to a legacy of hope, resilience, and a rejuvenated planet. We owe it to ourselves, our children, and future generations.
So, let’s pick up our brushes, let’s add our own innovative strokes, and together, let’s create a masterpiece—a planet vibrant with life and sustainable for all.
The Founders of Green Innovators: Teodora & David Kelm
Growing up in Bulgaria, an underdeveloped country compared to the US or Germany, Teodora quickly saw the giant leap her homecountry could make. Combining this with her insights as economist and sustainability consultant led her to join forces with David.
David, as an IT guy, founded and grew his own IT-Security startup before he found his calling in environmental challenges. As he experienced first hand, that it is possible to reach and influence millions of people, he became a strong believer in innovation as the most promising mean for change.
